A non profit making organization, Sholagberu Ottan Wopa development association ( SHOTWOP ) has doled out Ramadan packages to over 180 beneficiaries in it's community.

The packages was distributed across SHOTWOP community comprising Sholagberu, Ottan, Wopa, and Kasan compound.

The content of each package include Semovita, Spaghetti, Rice, Garri, Palm Oil and indomie.

The chairman of SHOTWOP palliative committee , Mr Abdulganiyu Wopa while speaking with SHO PEN ONLINE said the packages were given out as part of the association's welfare effort to cushion the effects of COVID-19 lockdown during this Ramadan period.

'' We have many less privileged in our community this is the best time to make them happy all, that's the reason we are doing this.'' he said 

Mallam Abdulganiyu urges the people of the community to seek and engage in prayers towards the end of Covid-19 virus which has killed many all over the world. He described the virus as a major difficulty that has cause disastrous event globally. 

In his statement, A member of SHOTWOP palliative committee, Mall. Abdulwasiu ottan appreciates all donors who supports in Cash and kind, prays for Allah blessings and mercies upon them.

He therefore, commends the elders of the community for their efforts in promoting peace and unity within the people of the community.

Lastly, He charges all individuals to follow and adhere strictly to the Basic protective measures against coronavirus which includes Social distancing, washing of hands and maintaining proper respiratory hygiene.

One of the beneficiaries, Hajia Hafusat Sidiq who identified herself as a resident of Sholagberu compound, said she was happy to be counted among the beneficiaries.


"If we are to buy this in the market, we know how much it will cost. I am grateful to all the donors for their kind gesture and also appreciates SHOTWOP for a job well done. ''Hafusah added
