The All Progressive Congress ( APC ) Ilorin West Local Government area of Kwara State under the Leadership of Mr Tejidini Sulyman has pledged their unalloyed support to the party and Kwara Governor, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
This was contained in Press Statement Signed by Azeez Owolabi APC PRO, Ilorin West Local Government.
According to the statement, The APC chairman, Ilorin West, Mr Tejidini Sulyman conveyed a stakeholders meeting over the recent outburst of some group which created the impression that there is division within the party in Ilorin West.
The meeting has in attendance the elders of the party in Ilorin West - Baba Olosasa, Baba Adefalu, Lawyer Kunle Sulaiman, Alh Mustapha Kobe, Alh Kawu Faada, Engr Lanre Hassan Alh Dan Alhaji, Alh Amasa Kutu, Alh. Suleiman Olowojare, Alh Baba Alapa, the state party secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Ishowo, kwara central woman leader, Alhaja Tawa Agaka Magaji Ngeri and Alanamu/Ajikoba constituencies representatives at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Magaji Olawoyi and Honourable AbdulGafar Ayinla Ayilara respectively and others that are too numerous to mention.
More so, the party structure of Ilorin West includes all Ilorin West local government executives members, all twelve wards chairmen, all twelve wards woman leaders, the youth leaders from each ward and all elders and stakeholders from each wards were equally present.
Government officials who graced the gathering inlcude - Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi and the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Aminu Adisa Logun. The newly defectors, Ilorin West Local Government Chairman, Hajia Omodara and her deputy.
In his welcome address, the APC Ilorin West Chairman, Tejidini Sulyman, reiterated that APC Ilorin West remains intact and there is no division in the party as the evidence shown in the gathering. He further explained that they remain 100% loyal to the party and the governor because Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq himself is a party man. "Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq believes in the party and he has never looked down of the party. You can't be party man without be AA, likewise you can't be AA without be the party man because he is the leader of the party as enshrined in the constitution of the party"
He further urged who among the members that are aggrieved to sheath their sword and embrace peace. He enjoined every member to rally round the governor as they will all enjoy the fruits of their labour.
The elder statesman, Lawyer Kunle Sulaiman corroborated the points of the APC chairman in Ilorin West, Tejidini Sulyman. He warned the aggrieved members in strong terms not to toe the path he described as self-centeredness.
Among the resolutions of the meeting were:
- that APC is our party
- that there is no division in Ilorin West Local Government APC chapter
- that we are completely loyal to the party and the leader of the party (Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq)
