The Senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Yahaya Oloriegbe and Ilorin West local government chairmanship Aspirant have mourned the death of a top health worker in the state, Dr Amuda Aluko.
Dr Aluko, who was the Tafida of Ilorin Emirate, died in the early hours of today in Ilorin at the age of 85.
The Senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Dr Yahaya Oloriegbe in a condolence message issued in Abuja expressed that the news caught him in shock lamenting that the deceased was a father-figure to him.
He added, "It is very unfortunate that we lost such a precious gem at this critical time when his professional expertise as a medical authority would have been of great benefit as we strive to win the battle against the dreadful COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, Ilorin West local government chairmanship Aspirant, Hon Hassan Owoyale described the death as a colossal loss for Ilorin, Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole.
"I condoled with the family of the deceased, the Medical community, the political family, the entirety of Ilorin, Kwara state and Nigeria over the death of this great man, Dr. Amuda Aluko. I pray Allah to repose his soul and not inflict his immediate family with further calamities after his demise" Owoyale said.
