The Ilorin Youth Development Association has congratulated Muslims on the celebration of this year's Eid-el Fitr with a call to follow all precautionary measure by the government to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the country.
This is contained in a statement by the National President of the Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen and the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Muhammed Uthman Jagunma in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The statement expressed hope that Allah’s blessings during the month-long fast would influence them and all others to contribute positively towards the development of the country.
According to the statement He said Eid-el-Fitr is a reminder of abandoning one's desires for Allah's pleasure, and the day is a renewal of loyalty, unity and brotherhood.
The IEYDA noted that the world is celebrating the great Islamic holiday while the outbreak of the coronavirus is a common challenge all over the world and charged the world to stand united against the challenge to overcome the crisis.
The Ilorin Emirate Youth however congratulate the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the people of Ilorin emirate, the state and country in general.
The IEYDA also felicitate with all our donors that always contribute to the success of our programmes, prayed Allah to continue to enrich their pockets and make us witness many of this seasons in years to come.
