A former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin,Prof.S.O.AbdulRaheem,OFR,has described the appointment of Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, CFR, as heartwarming.

Prof. AbdulRaheem,who is also the Talba of Ilorin, stated this in a congratulatory message to the distinguished scholar and signed by a member of his Media Team Comrade Abdulwahab Alafara

The former Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission noted that the appointment of the award-winning diplomat was a right peg in a right hole.

He noted that Prof. Gambari has come a long way and has all it takes to succeed in the task of serving as the engine-room of the present administration,saying that his experience as an academic, former Minister and the nation's Permanent Representative to the United has prepared him for the position.

Prof. AbdulRaheem also congratulated the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji(Dr.)Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari(CFR) and the good people of Kwara State on the appointment.

The academic-turned-Politician,while expressing the hope that the international statesman would give a very good account of himself in the office, prayed Allah to grant  Prof. Gambari a very successful tenure of office.
