.The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR and Emirate Council for their generous kick-starting donation of N1.750million for palliative measure for the less-privilege, and for promising to donate more as the lockdown order by the Kwara State Government continues.

The National publicity of secretary of the  association , Mall. Uthman Muhammad jagunma made the commendation in a statement obtained by SHO PEN ONLINE

He describes the setting up of the Ilorin Emirate Palliative Committee by the Emir as timely and a right step in the right direction, considering the adverse effects the restriction order aimed at containing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic has caused to the ordinary and less privilege people of the Emirate, who now find it very difficult to put food on the table for their families.

The association called on well-meaning sons of Ilorin Emirate across the World to answer the call of the Maimartaba, and donate handsomely towards the cause, as it is a clarion call to serve humanity, which will be rewarded by Allah, not only in this life, but also in the hereafter.

Similarly , IEYDA commends the Kwara State Government under the able leadership of Gov. Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman for all its efforts towards curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the state, most especially, its palliative food distribution across the state. The association also commended other Philanthropists and NGOs/Foundations who are giving palliatives to the less-privilege, charging them not to relent in their efforts, as the blessed month of Ramadan approaches.

It then prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to reward all contributors towards the glorious cause abundantly and prayed Allah should heal the world and make COVID-19 become a thing of the past very soon
