The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has called on philanthropist and humanitarians to complement the state government's efforts by providing essential commodities for the poor and vulnerable in the state.
According to the press statement made available to this medium SHO PEN ONLINE - jointly signed by the National President of the Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeenand the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Muhammed Uthman Jagunma.
The statement said the call became necessary especially during this period of stay at home directive by the state government noting that some people will not be able to feed their family except they go out for their daily businesses.
The IEYDA appreciated the contributions of some of the sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate towards bettering the life of the people and charged others to emulate them for the development of the state.
The Association commended the people of the state for complying with the stay at home directive of state government to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus in the state.
The statement also appreciated the state government for taken bold step to curtail the spread of corona-virus and urged the state government to provide more preventive materials and food stuffs for the people, particularly people at grassroots.
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association however commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari for his leadership style by suspending all Jummat Service across Ilorin Emirate to prevent the spread of COViD-19 in the state
