Nigerians have reacted to the Celebration of Democracy Day in Nigeria


Democracy Day in Nigeria is being celebrated on the 12th of June this year. This is the first time the day has been marked on this date. And the change carries heavy symbolism for a country that’s known more years of being ruled by military men than by democratically elected leaders.

Until last year the date on which Nigeria commemorated the restoration of democracy was May 29. But last year President Muhammadu Buhari declared June 12 to be the new Democracy Day

SHOLA MUSE 










A veteran journalist and a Public Affair Analyst, Shola Muse has described Nigeria Democracy as a theory which practical hasn't come to reality.

According to him : Nigeria leaders needs to be law Abiding in order to improve the Democratic journey of Nigeria.

 "We need to allow justice, Equity and other things that are contained in the Constitution in order to practicalise Democracy" Muse Added

Similarly, A public affair analyst in Kwara State, Ishowo Olanrewaju has said that Democracy in Nigeria needs to be redefine by Straightening the law and make it predominant on all Nigerian Citizens.

Also, A public Affair Analyst, Musa Aliu said Nigeria has Democratic government but yet to be rule democratically 

According to him : "Democratic institution need to gain it's feet for Proper Democratic Ruling in Nigeria"
