A non profit making organization, Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association in collaboration with Alh Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha (Founder, SOBI FM ) distributed Ramadan packages to over 200 resident in ilorin Emirate.

The package was distributed across the five local government of ilorin Emirate comprising Ilorin West, Ilorin South, Asa, and Moro Local government

The content of each package include Semovita, Spaghetti, Rice, Garri, Groundnut Oil and Tomato paste.

The National president of the Association, Mall. Babatunde Salaudeen while speaking with our correspondence said the packages were given out as part of the association's welfare effort to mitigate the impact of the lockdown in this Ramadan period on the selected beneficiaries  

Mallam Babatunde urges Muslims across Kwara State to seek and engage in prayers towards the end of Covid-19 virus which has killed many all over the world. He described the virus as a major conundrum that has put the whole world in a catastrophic situation. 



He calls on everyone irrespective of race, colour and religion to follow and adhere strictly to the Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus which includes Social distancing, washing of hands and maintaining proper respiratory hygiene.

In his statement the National Publicity secretary of IEYDA,  Alh Muhammad Uthman Jagunma appreciates the founder of Sobi Fm, Alh Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha for supporting the association with 150 packages and his kind to the success of the program

Similarly, He appreciates all well meaning kwarans, who has been supporting IEYDA efforts in promoting and developing Ilorin Emirate.

He therefore, call on philanthropist and political office holder to provide similar assistance to people in their respective communities in order to reduce the hardship during this trying time.

Lastly, He commends His royal Highness, Dr Ibrahim Zulu Gambari for his efforts in promoting peace within the Ilorin Emirate, also he appreciates the kwara State government under the leadership of Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for his efforts in fighting against coronavirus in the state.

One of the beneficiaries, Hajia Rasheedat Usman who identified herself as a member of ilorin West LG, said she was happy to be counted among the beneficiaries 

"If we are to buy this in the market, we know how much it will cost. I am grateful to Alh Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha ( Founder, Sobi Fm) for his gesture and also appreciates the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development ( IEYDA ) for a job well done. ''Rasheedah added .
