following the recent incident in which the evacuation of a distressed man was mishandled, the State government has embarked on the training of health workers on proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to enhance management of coronavirus (COVID -19) pandemic in the state.

Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, stated this at the venue of the training exercise on Thursday in ilorin.

Abdulrazaq said that the exercise was designed for health workers in the state amid assurances that the state is not dropping the ball in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to him the simulation we have just witnessed was the second in the last 24 hours and that speaks to the fact that we realise that there was a need to up our game following the unfortunate incident earlier in the week".


SHO PEN ONLINE learnt the training session was led by the state COVID-19 Infection, Prevention and Control which features ambulance drivers and other members of the Rapid Response Team at Sobi Specialist Hospital.
