The Alore Descedants Community development Association ( ADCDA ) has on Friday distributed the 3rd phase of relief item and Ramadan packages to the Residents of it's Community.
The ADCDA chairman committee on Relief material and Ramadan Packages, Mr Abubakar Onisesin stated that no fewer than 100 packages were distributed to the residents of Alore community after some of them had complained of not receiving the food packages during the first and second phase.
Abubakar, who noted that the food packages, which contained 5 kilogrammes of rice, 5kg of garri, 3kg of beans, seasoning, as well as tomato and pepper mix, were aimed at reaching out to households during this hard time and Ramadan period in order to cushion the effects of Coronavirus lockdown.
According to him the targeted beneficiaries are aged, widows and vulnerable, said the packages would feed a family of six for a week.
However , He appreciates all the donors who has contributed immensely to the success of the first phase, second phase and the third phase of the prrogramme, pray to Almighty to enrich their pocket and bless their various homes.
In his statement while speaking with SHO PEN ONLINE, The President of the Association, Mall. Yeeken Eleja urged the beneficiaries to obey all precautionary measures put in place by the federal and State government as a way of containing the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
He then felicitates with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebration, urging them to direct their actions towards attaining peace and progress in the country.
" As Muslims compatriots celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which signalled the end of Ramadan, I urge all Muslims to deeply reflect their prayers towards the end of Covid-19 virus which has killed many all over the world". he said
