The First Lady of Kwara State, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufolake AbdulRazaq in commemoration of world health day today donates safety materials and food items to the people of Kwara state
According to reports the safety materials include santizers, face mask, toilet soaps and hand gloves.
While Speaking during the presentation the Director of Protocol Office of the first lady , Mr. Hassan Raphael, explained that the First Lady is passionate about the total well-being of all Kwarans.
He stated that the First Lady understands the need for health workers to be well protected in this time of the outbreak of coronavirus and is therefore donating her widow's mite to the cause
Among the benefited hospitals are ; General hospital Ilorin , infectious disease treatment centre at sobi specialist hospital , Offa General Hospital, Omu-Aran General Hospital, Kaiama General Hospital and Patigi General Hospital. The Kwara State T B control Committee also benefitted from the distribution of safety materials from the first lady
The First Lady of Kwara state, Dr. Mrs. Olufolake AbdulRazaq also donated food items to Olohunda Psychiatric Home , the Kwara state Children Reception Centre, Pipeline area and to some traditional and religious institutions in order for them to share to their people.
Making the donation , The first lady who was ably represented by the commissioner for social development , Mrs Deborah Aremu said the food items were meant to alleviate possible challenges of the stay at home order.
In her words, "The First Lady urge each and everyone of us to continue to observe social distance and observe good hygiene by constantly washing our hands/ use hand sanitizers.
"She pleads with all Kwarans to stay at home and stay safe.
