The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association ( IEYDA ) , on Friday commence the distribution of food items , cash and relief materials to the people of Ilorin emirate 

The Non governmental Association which is aimed at developing and promoting unity in Ilorin emirate has taken a bold step in fighting the outbreaks of coronavirus in the state 

According to the statement obtained by SHO PEN ONLINE , Each pack currently contains uncooked rice, beans, garri, spaghetti, groundnut oil, and tomato sauce. It’s packed in a sealed nylon bag, weighs at least 5kg, and is designed to sustain a family of 5 for up to 5 days.

Among the benefited areas are ; 
Ilorin west , Ilorin south , Ilorin east , Asa LG and Moro LG 

While speaking with this medium , The vice president of the association , Mallam Muritador ottan said that the gesture was aimed at cushioning the effect of the current lockdown on the less privileged in the state 

We had to pull our resources together to at , least , help in our little way to support the people with some food items , cash and relief materials 
”We are aware of what many households, especially the less endowed ones and daily worker will go through hell during this lockdown, this is why we want to cushion the effect of the 14 days restriction order,”ottan said.

Mall ottan said the Association have feed over 1000 households in Kwara state pledges to do more in order to curb the spread of coronavirus in the state


Lastly charges kwarans to abide by the govt directives , urges well meaning individuals to support kwarans during this hard time in order to curb the spread of coronavirus in the state
