"As the Chairman Senate Committee on Health and Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, I have contacted relevant Federal Agencies including the Federal Minister of Health, the NCDC and the Presidential Task Force on COVID- 19. Towards this end, the NCDC has mobilized a surge team who would be arriving Kwara to provide support to the state team. The Honorable Minister of Health and his team are also providing their support
In addition we are contacting the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to provide palliatives to the people of the state."
"We call on the Fedeal Government to provide financial support of not less than three Billion Naira from the COVID-19 special intervention fund to Kwara State to enable the state respond effectively to the Pandemic"
"I hereby, enjoin you all to be calm, as being a coronavirus patient doesn't amount to a death sentence. The epidemiology has shown that most victims have only mild- moderate symptoms and recovered"
"However we urge you all to comply strictly with all precautionary measures and stay safe - whilst following the directives as may be made by the state authorities.
Together we will overcome this challenge soon"
