His royal Highness, the Emir of ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Zulu Gambari,  has today flagged of the distribution of food items to 10,000 residents in ilorin Emirate in order to cushion the effects of coronavirus lockdown.






During the flagged off ceremony at the palace, in ilorin, the governor of kwara state, Mall.  Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq appreciates the ilorin Emirate palliatives committee for supporting the Emir of ilorin efforts in cushioning the effects of coronavirus lockdown. 





AbdulRazaq, who recently commended the action of the Offa community for their own efforts, encouraged other community-based organisations to take a cue from IEDPU to consolidate the efforts of the government to help the vulnerable members of the society during this period


According to our correspondence who visited the palace during the flagged off ceremony, the palliatives distributed were semovita 5kg,  Rice 5kg,  Beans 5kg,  maize, millet, G-corn 5kg,




The co chairman of ilorin Emirate palliative committee, Alh Aliyu uthman otta,  while speaking with SHO PEN ONLINE, said the targeted beneficiaries are : Aged/Elderly needy, weak and sick needy, widows without means of livehood,physically challenged needy across the five ( 5 ) Local govt in the Ilorin Emirates.

Mall. Uthman appreciates the Emir of ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, for his interest as the first contributor to the palliative fund and of course the baloguns and all other individuals who has contributed immensely to the Ilorin emirate palliative fund
