COVID-19: NAKSS consolidates with Kwara technical committee ,commends Kwsg proactive measure

The National Association of Kwara State students (NAKSS) NATIONAL HEADQUARTER has today consolidates with Kwara technical committe on coronavirus mans commends the proactive measures of the state

in a press statement made available to this medium SHO PEN ONLINE - that was that was jointly signed by the President of the Association , Mr Adisa Jaji Azeez and the Director of public relation Comrade Mumeen Abubakar Read , The incessant rate at which the antihuman ail(corona virus) has sent many people to early grave is dispiriting. The  death toll in affected countries keeps increasing, day in day out.

Moreover, in Nigeria, there had been little cases reported. Though we need to be extra vigilant and fastly swing into action in curbing and exterminating this illness from our terrain

The so-called infection isn't only contagious but it easily spreads with any paltry interpersonal gestures. Wherewith, we must give ourselves a social distance.

We therefore commend the Federal Government for the authoritative directives given to the nerves and vein of all schools in Nigeria, and equally advising the Nigerian students to stay at home and pay obeisance to any given preventive measures.

Also, we will like to extend our commendation to the  Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, though no cases of the virus have been recorded in the state, but the proactive measures of the governor to prevent the deadly virus are worth praises.

With respect to the above, the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), National Headquarters held a meeting with Technical Committee on COVID-19 Set-Up by the Executive Governor of the State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to consolidate in preventing the spread of the virus in Kwara State.

The Technical Committee, headed by the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi, commended the efforts of the association in preventing the widespread of the virus. He furthered that the state government through the Technical Committee on COVID-19 will make available for distribution across all students areas every necessary materials(hand sanitizers, facemasks and hand gloves) in preventing the widespread of the virus.

Since, assumably, we do not have the requirements on ground to curing the virus, it's then imperative for us to go for the 'prevention', in order to be corona-impervious.

In this regard, we equally implore the students to protect themselves and take the following measures:

-Staying indoor, in line with the preventive measure laid down by the technical committee on Covid-19.

-Also, for our members outside Kwara State, following the recent ban of interstate travel by the federal government, we want to beseech you all also to stay indoor to stay safe.

-Wash your hands frequently.
-Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
-Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue anytime you sneeze or cough.
-Avoid crowded places.
-If you have a fever, cough and difficulty in respiratory systems, seek medical care early but call by phone first.

Your Wellbeing is our utmost concern.

The National NAKSS body will also be on the move across students areas in Kwara State to distribute preventive materials and sensitise students and people around the area against the spread of COVID-19
